Along the Alaskan Highway

We have been slowly making our way northward along the Alaskan Highway. Some mornings I take off early on my bicycle and ride 25 - 30 miles along the rough, hilly stretches before Alan picks me up with "sag wagon" in our truck and trailer. We then ride on to our next destination.
The campsites have been great--some free in just a roadside pull out:

Others in provincial campgrounds for about $12.

We've also stayed in some private campgrounds with electricity at a pricier $29.
The scenery has been spectacular and the road is in surprisingly good condition and is mostly "chip seal", so bicycle riding seems a lot rougher.

We've spotted grizzly bears, black bears, woodland bison, and stone sheep along the way. Lots of signs warning of caribou herds, but we have yet to spot them.
